A unit in the California National Guard went for a little walk in residential neighborhood in Ontario, CA. And, now the tin foil hatters (or bandanna in this case) think martial law has been declared.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I am guessing the neighborhood they walked through is close to their Armory and ruck marching, which I am pretty sure is an annual training requirement for them, around the area made more sense then spending money to load everyone in vehicles and drive somewhere else to conduct the training. Clearly this wasn't an attempt at saving money, it's the government planning for the detention camps and rounding up citizens.
IMO, leaving the weapons in the Arms Room would have been a smart move but, if they were following their training requirements they probably have to do the ruck with weapons.

Missed opportunity here.....I would've had the unit do a thriller dance in full uniform w/ gear on the way to the site. Or just moonwalk through the neighborhood. Have a few boomboxes going too. Either it's the most well choreographed martial law ever of all time.....or it's a bunch of grunts getting their assess kicked by a workout. Conspiracy avoided.

When I was in LS "A" School we had a Class Leader who would sing a "Thriller" cadence and we incorporated the dance moves into the march. It was awesome.

Does your hat help with cellphone reception? We get weak signal at the house, do you think it would help?

I sure hope not! It's designed to DEFLECT not BOOST aerial transmissions. Don't you know anything?
Or alternative friendlier answer; No, my cell phone is buried in a ten foot deep hole incased in lead so I only use it in emergencies.

A 20k ruck is an annual Army training requirement. A lot of units on post here have been conducting them lately because the weather has been nice. Sucks for the guys lugging the M240 around. I seriously wonder if my unit will do one. We didn't last year. (Aviation FTW!)

Quit shaming, Troop. I love rucking, that is the biggest thing I am going to miss when I am out of the Army in 11 days.

Oh, I guess I'll have to buy one of those signal boosters.
Just remember they aren't out to get you. They might already have you.
